SARASOTA, Fla., Aug. 8, 2007… SASA awarded five area high school seniors each with $1,000 college tuition grants toward their advanced education as part of SASA’s new grant program to assist students with special financial needs. The breakfast awards ceremony was hosted at the Sarasota Cay Club in Sarasota.



The 2007 recipients were selected from more than 45 applicants based on financial need and personal circumstances as well as their demonstrated academic, community and sports commitment.

2007 SASA grant recipients include:
• Christopher Souhed Chawi, Bayshore High School, Bradenton
• Veronika Badunova, Venice High School, Venice
• Ryan Marshall Barnes, Lakewood Ranch High School, Lakewood Ranch
• Carta Robison, Booker High School, Sarasota
• Adam Kenneth Reams, Venice High School, Venice
